Abide

A friend posted the word abides on his FB status and it got my mind going of different scriptures with that word in it ~ so I thought you might be blessed by them as well.

Definition first though from Merriam Websters Online Dictionary...

transitive verb 1: to wait for : await 2 a: to endure without yielding : withstand b: to bear patiently : tolerate 3: to accept without objection

intransitive verb 1: to remain stable or fixed in a state 2: to continue in a place : sojourn

synonyms: bear, continue

Psalm 91:1 (NKJV) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Proverbs 19:23 (NKJV) The fear of the LORD leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; he will not be visited with evil.

John 8:35 (NKJV) And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.

John 14:16 (NKJV) And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

John 15:9 (NKJV) “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

Abide sistas ~ under the shadow ~ in satisfaction ~ forever ~ with a helper ~ in His love!!

He loves you so much...fall into His arms and abide there!
